AMICA

about.

A celebration of slow-cooked, tomato-first sauce made for pizza lovers. Amica Pizza Sauce is born from Italian heritage and made in Montréal — ripe tomatoes, a patient simmer, and a whisper of basil and garlic. This project covers brand messaging, label copy, product photography, and website-ready microcopy designed to position Amica as both kitchen staple and chef-approved pantry hero.

  • Available sizes: 250 g / 380 g / 680 g

  • Short ingredient line (label): Tomatoes · Water · Tomato paste · Onion · Extra virgin olive oil · Garlic · Salt · Sugar · Basil · Oregano · Citric acid

challenge.

Balancing artisan heritage with contemporary clarity.
Creating a packaging and web voice that feels indulgent and slightly sultry without leaning into cliché was key. The label needed to read instantly at shelf distance while still communicating “handmade” and “restaurant quality.”

Evoking pizza-first functionality.
The sauce had to read like a chef’s secret: heat-stable, low-sugar, rich enough to caramelize at the edges — and that functional promise needed to be explicit in both copy and imagery.

Keeping the story simple for multiple touchpoints.
From ecommerce pages to in-store shelf talkers and Instagram posts, the language had to be modular: short hero lines, an informative product blurb, and a set of flexible microcopy snippets for CTA buttons and badges.

results.

A compact, flexible brand copy system ready for web and packaging:

  • Hero options: “Spread the passion — Italy in every drop.” / “Warning: Things might get saucy.”

  • Product card blurb: Amica Pizza Sauce — velvety, bright, and irresistibly saucy. Made from sun-ripened tomatoes and a hint of basil.

  • Full product page: tasting notes, chef benefits (“holds up to high heat”), ingredient line, sizes & SKUs.

  • Photo captions & alt text prepared to pair with product photography (hero jar, pantry hand, restaurant-styled stills).

  • Promo-ready microcopy for ads, badges, and social: “For pizza lovers only”, “Try a sample jar”, “Chef-approved”.

Packaging and web deliverables were written to be drop-in ready: label copy that meets regulatory brevity, SEO meta (Title + Meta description), and a set of fictional sample testimonials for mockups (clearly labeled as creative examples).
